Yesterday was a very busy day for our General Manager, Augusto "NoobZaibot" Zapata Delgado. Two challenges in one day : The Forza Challenge and the Counter Strike Source Challenge. Maybe we didn't have a Live Qualifier and Draft, but we had a good talent pool to use for the picks !

At the first time of the day, in the Monkey Lan Center from Coapa, the Forza Challenge took place. Our premium racer, Juan Pablo "ElEcTrOfLoW" Garcia went to pick his couple. Unfortunately, only four players attended, making the event a really close one, since most of the attending racers were former CGS Progamers looking for a chance to renew their position in Furia.

The attending racers were Francisco "mEtAlx" Alegria, Luis "LEGITRACER" Ibarra and Mauricio "UFO-79ERN" Sierra Vargas. mEtAlx (who replaced LAVU) and LEGITRACER were the racers in Rio Sinistro's PGR3 Team for the World Finals of the 2007 Season of the Championship Gaming Series. UFO-79ERN, First Taxi of the Rio Sinistro, replaced Felipe "DelPiro" Cruz as a full Furia Member, due to his problem with the US Visas, and gave us an excellent match against the Berlin Allianz, together with ElEcTrofLoW. Finally, an anonymous racer appeared, from the Monkey Lan Center customer pool, giving us a group of four.

To give everybody an opportunity, full collisions and non-collisions races were scheduled. Using the CGS Point system, each player had to fight for his spot, since only the two top racers would make it to the finals. In the end, the scores were as follows :


- UFO-79ERN : 30 Points
- mEtAlx : 29 Points
- LEGITRACER : 28 Points
- Jose : 17 Points

In the finals, the racers were tested in a Best of Three race, with collisions on. mEtAlx was able to win the first one, but in the second, UFO-79ERN showed his true skills, obtaining the first place easily and with a considerable margin. The final race was a heart-attack challenge : in the end, mEtAlx who came from behind, was able to reach the head of the race for a couple of seconds, with UFO-79ERN filling his mirrors. However, the Finish line was really close and the victory went for mEtAlx.

With that said, we are proud to announce that Francisco "mEtAlx" Alegria is now the new Forza Motorsport 2 Player for this season in the Mexico City Furia. Well known member of the Mexican community for his participations in WCG, mEtAlx will bring experience and a quote of hard work to the team. He knows how to handle pressure and the stage, since he had a good participation in the last World Finals with Rio Sinistro. Mauricio "UFO-79ERN" Sierra Vargas will be the Taxi player, with the possibility (like every other taxi player) of taking the Full Member place if he can prove that he deserves the position in the next weeks. Both will be evaluated again by our General Manager, Augusto "NoobZaibot" Zapata Delgado in a few weeks, to see their progress. Congratulations to both of them !

Of course, we can't end this recap of the Forza Challenge, without giving thanks to the Monkey Lan Center organization, who gave us their equipments and helped us a lot in making this possible.
