Zerecero places 3rd in FIWC USA

Held at GameStop, Universal CityWalk, in Los Angeles, the Qualifier held up to 128 participants that were competing for the chance to be crowned US National Champion and book their place in the Grand Final in Germany. Our representative from the Furia, Ruben "Zerecero" Morales attended the competition, playing with the mighty Barcelona FC.
"I was getting really nervous, because losing just one game was returning to Mexico without nothing, my first game was great I defeated my first oponent by 6-0 so that gave me a lot of confidence, then in my second game I won by 6-1, the third game was great for me too as i won 4-0, the next game was for the division so a victory would mean a pass to the quarter finals. My opponent was a great player the game was really intense because he was playing all his game on the defensive way and I won just by one goal. Then when the quarter finals came they gave me a great surprise : I got a bye because I had the best goal difference and since we were just 7 players left, i was there on the semifinals!" he added.

Zerecero continues : "My rival in semifinals was mitch09 probably one of the best players of the continent, I know that that was the final victory and the ticket to Berlin (no offense to the other bracket players), all the people was watching the game. He scored first on a corner kick and then I drew the game 1-1, it was really intense because the ball was going from side to side from my goalkeeper to his goalkeeper, then all the people started to cheer for me, they were all like "MEXICO MEXICO !!!!!" and wow it felt really like a national game me as Mexico and he as USA, then he scored through a long ball, the game was 2-1 and the game was about to end, right on the kick off and with the heart of all the mexicans that were with me I scored the second goal 2-2, amazing !!!! I was still on the fight and ready to keep going probably the key of the game was that I was also screaming "MEXICO, Mexico !!!" and i got distracted at the last minute, sadly I made a mistake on the midfield losing a really easy ball and on the counter attack he scored the third and final goal at the last minute of the game 3-2. I tried again but his defense stopped me and that was it, my dream going down in a great game and losing against a great player probably that was the best game of th tournament, then I played the third place game and I beat my opponent 6-2 it was a great game too!"

"So i got the third plaace of my confederation the Concacaf and i'm happy with that" ends Ruben "I tried my best and put everything in all my games and learned a lot from my mistakes but the tournament is not over yet as I will try to qualify in the online tournament. Buena we tercer lugar no es malo se nota que si le hechaste ganas y que crees me lesione en el Estatal xD y no podre ir al regional jajaj pero espero y el equipo pase al Nacional para ir a Guadalajara al Nacional!
